History

During the last two centuries spa tourism, especially marine spas, has been a significant element in Getxo’s history. The voracious industry of Bilbao and the changes in the social habits made this activity disappear without leaving a trace.

The Hotel Igeretxe is located at the Ereaga beach on the seaside. A 822 meters long beach with all the services an urban beach may offer. Sports like surf, paddle surf and sailing can be practised.

You can attend yoga lessons in the hotel. A sea view place where you will be able to unwind body and mind and do some exercise. The lessons are held during the week and week end. Have a look at our schedule.

Location and transport connections

The Hotel Igeretxe is located near the Neguri underground station, 10 minutes walk, and near the main tourist and cultural attractions of Bilbao, 20 minutes. It is also very close to the Puente Colgante de Portugalete which has been recently declared as World Heritage.
